And no dangerous kissing was had this week. All in all, I am proud of my resistance.

Also proud of my brand new coffee maker...that I bought at a second hand store. I like to think this would've been a small way of making my mother both proud and frustrated at the same time. But - hey, good coffee in the morning? Who doesn't love that?!

Speaking of love, 'tis the season soon, I believe, and...well, I never imagined I wouldn't spend it with my brother. It's always been just us, when there wasn't anyone else, and this time it's just me. Brooding might happen. I'm pretty sure brooding shouldn't happen on Christmas - it feels more like a Valentine's Day sort of emotion, or a general one, depending on who we're talking about.

Anyway! I am going to just go ahead and tell everyone that I'll be sending out - or delivering - holiday postcards. So just leave your name and location if you want one, and I promise they will not all match the colour of my hair.

I spent the past two Christmases here without my brothers. Having company helps, you know, it's probably about the only thing that kept me from going a bit mad. So, er, this'll be me offering company.

These days there's so many kinds of coffee, it's easy to be a coffee guy. And it does a lot more than tea.
