002 ⇨ do a little dance, get damned tonight
video ⇨ public
[Mae's face smiles slightly at the camera before she sets it down on a solid surface. Behind her, the City Square. She has her hands on her hips and facing the camera with a little grin-smirk.]
Just so you know, Tavi - at least when I'm dared to dance, I don't do it hidden. [She takes a deep breath.] Well then. Pretend there's music.
[And then she closes her eyes, and starts to sway. In her head, there's music, and it moves her hips in an undulating movement, and makes her arm raise to the sky. It starts as rave music, loud and full of drums.
And then it slowly evolves. Turns quieter, then harder, more drums, a piper here and there - and the steps feel familiar; Mae is following them inadvertently, as if she'd had them memorized. Summoning demons with no circle. She's taking the third step, her arms raised to her sides, head thrown back, hair waving in the breeze, when she notices what she's dancing. Her eyes snap open, a small moment of panic, checking for - a voice, an evil laugh, a crawling sensation up her skin - something. When she doesn't find it, her shoulders slump, and she stops. Turns back to the camera, a little more serious, and picks it up.] There's your dance. In front of the Square.
[And turns the connection off.]
[ooc; Octavian dared her to dance in the Square. She'll take a while to answer, until she recomposes herself. Action and video are cool.]

action;
So where did you learn to dance?
action;
With the French girls at the nun school. They wore ribbons in their hair and still had to play the man's part because I was far too pretty to be held still.
[Grinning, she holds out her hand.] And you, sailor?
action;
In a production of South Pacific. The director said I had the best moves of everyone, and I have to say I agreed.
action;
I must say I agree too.
action;
You're not too bad yourself, of course. Those French girls wouldn't have known what hit them.
action;
I like to surprise, cherie.
