CHARACTER INFORMATION

NAME: Mae Crawford
CANON: The Demon's Lexicon
AGE: 17-18; aged-up to 18 but see anything else
CANON POINT: The end of The Demon's Covenant

BACKGROUND: Considering the lacking information about these books that exist online, I've written up the major outline of the series from Mae's point of view up until the canon point from which she's taken.

» You and me against the world. She is impossibly devoted to her brother, that's the first and foremost thing you must keep in mind; everything she's done -- down to straight-up murder -- has been to ensure his safety. But Mae's the kind of person with a big heart (that's why her boobs are so big, full of heart) that is capable of caring for a lot more people.

» Where'd you learn how to dance, sailor?. She's very intelligent, thinks quick on her feet and has a sense of humour that will put you in your place if you need to be put in your place. She does well in school, in spite of her rebel-without-a-cause looks, and once helped stage a revolution against magicians out to kill a lot of people so there is that. She is pretty outspoken about her opinions, so watch it.

» Thanks, I grew them myself. Extremely self-confident in her looks, Mae stands tall even at her short-and-curvy stature. The pink hair represents a reflection of her personality but also her attempt to escape the cold reality of a supposedly unloving home. (Thanks, mom.) You don't need to think she's the shit, Mae already knows she is.

» I love me more. She doesn't have time for your love triangles and if you drag her into them you might get punched in the gut. I'm just saying. Mae has a fairly solid grasp of what loyalty, love and affection looks like, and she treats people accordingly. That said, she is compassionate and fights for the small guy like it's nobody's business, even when nobody calls her in to do it.

» A case of optimism. If a situation isn't working, Mae will be the first to try and fix it. Even if it means plans the likes of summoning demons or breaking into a magician Circle's mannor. She is almost stubborn in not accepting that there is no fix to a mistake or a bad situation, and even if it takes making some mistakes along the way, she strives to put things right.

INCENTIVE/FIT: Her brother being her main concern, and with Jamie's leaving to join the Circle in hopes of destroying it from within, Mae is given a choice. Come to Eudio, receive a reward. Though she has just lost her mother, and a part of her wants to ask for revenge, she puts Jamie first. Her brother's ensured survival and safety, in exchange for her cooperation.
As for how much she fits into Eudio? She fits. She's ready to give safe sex tips to anyone who's listening, that's how much she'll fit. (Sure, she has been dealing with some growing feelings towards Nick which have taken her by surprise and are tragic in the sense that he'll never feel back the same thing for her, but Jamie is more important. Always, always more important.)

ANYTHING ELSE? Mae's completely human. No skills beyond the ones a human has. Pretty pacifist, too. But one thing should be noted; given her unspecific canon, she's possibly been aged up to eighteen but she doesn't know this, because she was nearing the thresshold anyway. Therefore, for the time being, it's very likely she'll try not to aim for silver foxes. (Sorry, I know.)
